Dear Friends,
We hope the beginning of your new year has been peaceful, optimistic, and nurturing.
We’re pleased that this past week marked the last steps of construction for our new center. We also completed work for Candelaria and her five children. They have separate beds for the first time, a sanitary bathroom facility, and a little privacy. It all adds up to some well-deserved human dignity.
We can do this because of your quiet, reassuring ways of extending optimism and encouragement where it is often absent. Your response to our annual appeal has been no less than a beacon of light to the people in our barrio. It shines through poverty quietly and persistently and tells all who wake up to it: You can do this…Someone cares.
Thank you…always.
Our sincerest wishes to you and yours for a new year filled with good health and peace.
With gratitude,
Candelaria Says Thanks

Outside the new space for Candelaria’s Family…triple its original size.

Finishing Touches: Five beds and mattresses purchased, each carried 1/4 mile. Our thanks to our hardworking local volunteers.

THANK YOU!!!
School Registration Begins on January 17th.
As students come in to register on January 17th, our new learning center, Centro de Oportunidad and our new dining hall, Comedor Sandeep Panwalker, will be receiving their first coats of paint. Last week, contractors and our volunteers worked to complete the tasks of framing and drywall hanging.
Feliz Año Nuevo
On December 30th, Maycól and Isabel prepared a treat for our community. It was agreed that although 2021 was tough, our students are also strong and ready for the goodness the new year holds.
