Dear Friends,
Yesterday, winter’s beauty graced us here in the Mid-Atlantic part of the country. Snow awakened memories of less structured days, bundling up, winter play, and comfort foods. It is akin to another nostalgic feeling: the start of a new school year.
In much warmer Nicaragua, there is a vibrant sense of anticipation. As our community looks on, we are down to the final details of construction. Registration for our new year in our new buildings begins this coming week (previously delayed by Covid).
Thank you for your kindness, your faith in us, and for helping us transform the desire to help into real opportunity where none previously existed. This is what changes lives and brings hope.
We’re looking forward to bringing new spaces to life that you made possible and to sharing them with you in our next update!
With continued gratitude,
Chuck

Neighbors to Nicaragua thanks Premiere Charities of Wilmington, Delaware
Our sincerest thanks to Premiere Charities, one of Delaware’s finest grassroots organizations. Their teams work diligently to provide food for Wilmington’s homeless as well as funding for opportunities to improve the lives of many in need.
This past week, Neighbors to Nicaragua was granted help from Premiere Charities to purchase equipment for teaching barbering and salon skills at our soon-to-open Matthew James Haley Vocational Center.
Our sincerest thanks for this wonderful gift!
